"Owner" means the individual or legal entity with legal ownership of the Dog who enters into this Agreement with Forrest Dog Walking & Training. Where this Agreement is signed or accepted by an authorised representative, agent, or family member on the Owner's behalf, that person is deemed to be acting with the Owner's authority and is bound by the terms of this Agreement to the extent applicable.

1. ABOUT US
Forrest Dog Walking & Training provides dog training, dog walking and house sitting. By booking or using our services, you agree to these Terms & Conditions.

2. CLIENT RESPONSIBILITIES
The client agrees to:

Provide accurate, complete, and up-to-date information about themselves and their Dog, including any information relevant to the safe provision of our services.
 

The owner agrees to disclose any medical conditions, behavioural issues, aggression, fear, anxiety, reactivity, bite history, or any other known concerns that may affect the safety or welfare of the dog, our staff, contractors, other animals, or members of the public. The owner must notify Forrest Dog Walking & Training promptly of any changes to this information.
 

The owner agrees to ensure the dog receives appropriate veterinary care and that vaccinations, parasite prevention, and any legally required treatments are kept up to date, unless otherwise advised by a veterinary surgeon.
 

The owner agrees to maintain appropriate insurance for their dog where the owner considers it necessary. Forrest Dog Walking & Training recommends that owners obtain suitable pet and third-party liability insurance.
 

The owner agrees to ensure the dog is fitted with a secure collar and identification tag and all other equipment is correctly fitted in accordance with applicable legal requirements before any walking or training session, unless otherwise agreed.
 

The owner agrees to provide safe, secure, and unobstructed access to the property and ensure that any access instructions, keys, lockboxes, alarm codes, or entry arrangements provided are accurate and up to date.
 

The owner remains responsible for the welfare, supervision, and control of their dog at all times during training sessions and must ensure that their dog is handled safely and responsibly, whether indoors or outdoors and whether on or off lead, except where the dog is under the direct handling or control of Forrest Dog Walking & Training as part of the agreed services.
 

The Owner acknowledges and agrees that they remain solely responsible for the behaviour and actions of their dog at all times.

The Owner accepts full responsibility and liability for any injury, loss, damage, or expense caused by their dog to any person, animal, or property, except where such injury, loss, damage, or expense results directly from the negligence or wilful misconduct of Forrest Dog Walking & Training, its employees, contractors, or agents.
 

The Owner agrees to release and hold harmless Forrest Dog Walking & Training, its owners, employees, contractors, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, costs, or expenses arising from the behaviour or actions of the Owner's Dog, except where caused by the negligence or wilful misconduct of Forrest Dog Walking & Training or its representatives.

3. DOG WELFARE AND SAFETY
Forrest Dog Walking & Training will exercise reasonable care and skill in providing our services and will take all reasonable steps to ensure the safety and welfare of your dog while it is in our care.

Forrest Dog Walking & Training reserve the right to refuse, suspend, or discontinue our services at any time if, in our reasonable opinion, a dog displays behaviour that poses a risk to the safety or welfare of our staff, contractors, other animals, members of the public, or the dog itself.

The owner is responsible for ensuring that their dog wears a collar with an identification tag displaying the owner's name and address when in a public place, as required by applicable UK law, unless a legal exemption applies.

4. TRAINING SERVICES
Dog training results cannot be guaranteed, as outcomes depend on a variety of factors, including consistency, owner participation, the dog's individual characteristics, and environmental influences.

Forrest Dog Walking & Training reserves the right to recommend the use of different training equipment or tools where, in the trainer's professional opinion, they are appropriate for the individual dog and training objectives.

The owner is responsible for providing suitable equipment for training, unless otherwise agreed. Forrest Dog Walking & Training reserves the right to refuse the use of any equipment considered unsafe, unsuitable, or inappropriate.

The owner agrees to follow all reasonable instructions and training advice provided during and between sessions. The Owner acknowledges that consistent practice outside of training sessions is essential to achieving the best results.

5. VETERINARY EMERGENCIES
In the event of an emergency, if the owner cannot be contacted within a reasonable time, the owner authorises Forrest Dog Walking & Training to obtain appropriate veterinary treatment for the dog as deemed necessary. The owner remains responsible for all veterinary fees and any associated costs arising from such treatment.

6. BOOKINGS, CANCELLATIONS AND PAYMENTS

The owner will be invoiced by Forrest Dog Walking & Training on a weekly basis.
 

Payment is due within 7 days of the invoice date, unless otherwise agreed in writing. If payment is not received within this period, Forrest Dog Walking & Training reserves the right to suspend or withhold further services until the outstanding balance has been paid in full.
 

The owner must provide at least 48 hours' notice to cancel or reschedule an appointment. Cancellations made with less than 48 hours' notice may be charged at the full session fee, as the appointment time has been reserved exclusively for the owner and their dog.

If Forrest Dog Walking & Training is unable to provide the agreed services due to illness, emergency, or other unforeseen circumstances beyond our reasonable control, we will notify the owner as soon as possible and, where possible, offer an alternative appointment or suitable arrangement.

Forrest Dog Walking & Training reserves the right to shorten, postpone, reschedule, or cancel any walk or training session where, in our reasonable opinion, weather conditions or other circumstances make it unsafe or unsuitable to continue.
 

Forrest Dog Walking & Training reserve the right to charge the full fee for any appointment where we are unable to provide the agreed services due to circumstances within the owner's control, including but not limited to failure to attend, failure to provide access, or the dog being unavailable at the scheduled appointment time.

7. SOCIAL MEDIA AND PHOTOGRAPHS
From time to time, Forrest Dog Walking & Training may take photographs or videos of dogs during the provision of our services. These images or videos may be used for marketing, advertising, or promotional purposes, including on our website, social media channels, and other promotional materials. If the owner does not wish for their dog to appear in any photographs or videos, they must notify Forrest Dog Walking & Training in writing before services commence.

8. LIABILITY
Whilst Forrest Dog Walking & Training will exercise reasonable care and skill in providing our services, dogs are animals and their behaviour can be unpredictable. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Forrest Dog Walking & Training shall not be liable for any loss, injury, illness, damage, cost, or expense arising from the provision of our services, except where such loss or damage results directly from our negligence or where liability cannot legally be excluded. Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or any other liability that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable UK law.

9. TERMINATION
Either the owner or Forrest Dog Walking & Training may terminate services at any time. Forrest Dog Walking & Training reserves the right to terminate services immediately where, in our reasonable opinion, there are safety, welfare, legal, or behavioural concerns, or where the owner is in breach of these Terms. Any outstanding fees for services already provided shall remain payable.

10. DATA PROTECTION
Personal information will be collected, used, stored, and processed in accordance with our Privacy Policy and applicable UK data protection legislation.

11. GOVERNING LAW
These Terms and Conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. Any dispute arising out of or in connection with these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
